Redstone Press:
Liam Robertson (Clouds) b2b Lewis Lowe

April 13th, 2024

April’s edition of our residency sees label member and fellow go-kart enthusiast Liam Robertson join Lewis Lowe on Saturday 13th.

Liam Robertson has released with us twice, first with his inimitable “Village Of Killin” EP and most recently as part of our tenth release compilation “Feeling Everything, All Ot Once”. Known for his ongoing work as Clouds, Hamilton Scalpel, PDL, Alia and North Sea Dialect (I’m pretty sure there’s more that we don’t know about), he has been confidently sat at the forefront of soundsystem focussed music both within techno and more experimental sounds for well over 10 years. Gigs all over the world and co-signs from Sven Vath to Fred Again, he manages to navigate it all without gimmickry and maintains an extremely high standard in all he does that many try and fail to emulate.

Individually, all these achievements and experience are incredible in their own right, but stack ’em all together and it really is something else. Could prattle on about his influence on Redstone Press, the Scottish dance music scene and techno in general but it’s a party not a lecture! Come down and see for yourself.

Label boss Lewis Lowe continues a fine run of form after debuting his music on our recent compilation and playing gigs at Venue MOT and Loko Club at the start of this year.

Liam and Lewis were due to play their first b2b together recently but plans changed, so this is actually their first go round together. No better place for it than Sneaks booth!

Pedalo
Ryan Harley
Bootlace

April 13th, 2024

pedalo, having come together from all corners of Scotland, have been making waves in the Glasgow indie scene since the summer of 2022.

Drawing on an eclectic melting pot of influences, pedalo have gained momentum with sold out shows at The Poetry Club, Nice N Sleazy, McChuill’s and The Old Hairdressers. As well as this the group have made a number of festival appearances including King Tut’s Summer Nights, New Year Revolution, and Tenement TV’s Tenement Trail.

In late 2022 pedalo headed into Riverside Studios with Sam Macleod to record their first two singles. Their debut release, “Better”, hit streaming services which led to their momentous sold out launch show at Glasgow’s own Nice N Sleazy. The band’s sophomore single, “Halfway House“, was later released alongside the groups first ever headline slot at the famous King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut just one year after their debut show. pedalo have also had the chance to support notable acts such as Vona Vella and Swiss Portrait.

Recently the band have recorded new material with Jamie Holmes at Castle of Doom Studios and are set to release their newest single “Mystery” on the 5th on January 2024.

Miss World:
Eich with miira + Feena

April 12th, 2024

Next up at Miss World we are buzzing to host EICH. The London based Rinse FM resident uses her curation of the More Cowbell party and label to further UK techno and bass sounds across the country.

Eich hit the ground running with her productions, releasing her first track the boundary pushing Dublin based label Woozy, and having since released further percussive, driving UK techno numbers on More Cowbell and Rinse.

Her Impact mix for mixmag, released at the end of last year, weaves through vast, forboding soundscapes with glitched out perc, to driving basslines and energetic club ready selections.

Join us for a night of forward thinking UK techno and heavy bass at Cowgate’s very own musical beauty pageant!

Please respect your fellow dancers – all are welcome at Miss World. We operate a safe space policy, and a zero tolerance policy towards homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism, creepiness, or just being a downright shitebag in general. Anyone behaving in any of the above ways will be immediately removed from the premises.

You can ALWAYS approach Miss World DJs (we’re normally next to the booth) or venue staff if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe. If you have had too much to drink, lost your pals or just want to be around safe people, come and find us to hang out or we can help get you a taxi home.

Sneaky Pete’s is accessible, however there are no accessible toilets – patrons are welcome to use accessible toilets at the Three Sisters just along the Cowgate. Please get in touch with us or Sneaky Pete’s if you have any questions about accessibility in advance of the event.
