Personal Trainer x Pom Poko
plus The Itch
for fans of… Dry Cleaning, Pip Blom, Do Nothing, Squid
at The Caves
April 21st, 2024
Amsterdam-based collective Personal Trainer seek out sharp-witted ways to prolong the innate joy of being a band just plugging in and playing. Norway’s freewheeling Pom Poko combine their jazz school training and experimental leanings into equally sugary and explosive music.
After previous sellout shows for us before these two Sneaks favourites return for a very special show together at The Caves.
Ivy Big Band
April 21st, 2024
Ivy Big Band is a brand new space for women and gender minorities to get involved in jazz and this is our very first gig!
We know that the jazz scene can be intimidating, especially for women and gender minorities. The aim of this project is to create an open, honest and encouraging big band setting where these groups are comfortable to get involved. When applications open, the band will be open to women, trans, non-binary and gender fluid musicians and will comprise of a full rhythm section, 4 trumpets, 5 saxes, 4 trombones and vocalists.
There is only one problem! We don’t have a full band yet! The Launch Gig will be a chance for us to show you what the band is all about, play some excellent tunes and, most importantly, explain how you can get involved in Ivy!
We’ll be playing a wide range of jazz, funk, soul and pop that is bound to have you moving your hips and singing along. We can’t wait to share our band with you and enjoy an evening together.
Club Mediterraneo:
Andrea Montalto b2b Please Don’t Goa
April 20th, 2024
The tekno-bard and small claims court jester Please Don’t Goa pays a heartfelt tribute to the early wonky days of house music at Club Mediterraneo. From Chicago to Catania, Brussels to Musselburgh, temples dedicated to the gods of Jack and Trax were erected to celebrate ecstasy and bacchanalia.
On Saturday 20th, Sneaky Pete’s will hold its own ritual to commemorate all things acid, jackin’, ridin’ and pumpin’ (and all other adjacent adjectives of early house music) with the classic dose that warm Balearic touch you get at Club Mediterraneo.
Adult Leisure
April 20th, 2024
Adult Leisure are a melodic alt-indie four-piece based in Bristol, formed in 2020 by David Woolford (guitarist), Neil Scott (vocalist), James Laing (bassist) and Nathan Searle (drummer) , who came together to form the project following a thirst to create during the pandemic.
Their debut single ‘Things You Don’t Know Yet’ was released in March 2022, championed by the likes of BBC Upload and God Is In The TV as a ‘mighty impressive debut offering’, followed up by their second single ‘Modern Son’ in July 2022 and their subsequent debut hometown show, a swift sell out, with rave reviews coming in from the likes of Bristol Gig Guide.
Their debut EP ‘The Weekend Ritual’, released in December 2022, championed by BBC Radio 1 as ‘ones to watch’ for 2023, Variance Magazine, The Independent’s ‘Now Hear This’ and RTE, saw Adult Leisure truly announcing themselves as a band not to be missed.
Most recently the band released their latest single ‘Bad Idea’ which drew acclaim from Double J and was subsequently added to Spotify’s melomania playlist alongside peers such as Shame and Yard Act to name a few.
