EPiKA:
Kessie
ona:v

November 27th, 2024

Hailing from London and currently based in Leeds, Kessie is quickly gaining world-wide recognition for her playful DJ sets and a taste for the groovy and the intricate.

Wearing hearing aids since the age of 4 has heavily influenced her relationship with music, evident in her metallic track selections and mixing style. Kessie’s obsession with all things weird and wonderful inspires her to continuously refine her signature sound aiming for a unique dancefloor experience. Blistering kicks and atonal synths are the key building blocks, paired with beats that often lean towards the looping and cerebral.

She also adjusts the tempo and lays down head-twisting EBM, post punk and ambient, bridging the gap between futurism and machine funk. This approach has landed her bookings at Berghain, Junction2, Fold, Perron and The White Hotel alongside the biggest names in electronic music. With a residency at Leeds queer club night Love Muscle, and London’s techno collective, Structure, she keeps things fresh by remaining connected to the communities around her.

Yet another Scottish debut brought to you by EPiKA – one not to be missed! Support from ona:v

Tom VR (live)
Yu Su (DJ)
for fans of… Four Tet, Floating Points, Bicep, Jamie XX

November 26th, 2024

Tom VR is an artist, producer, DJ, composer, and remixer based in London. His sound lives between atmospheric textural house, euphoric techno, and experimental soundscapes all mixed with his unique approach to pop.

Per Resident Advisor, Tom VR “has a knack for crafting genre-bending electronic dance music that glistens and flutters like the work of a young Kieran Hebden [Four Tet],” and the nod is especially apt given recent DJ attention from Hebden himself, along with the likes of Ben UFO, Avalon Emerson, Bicep, Jamie xx, to name a few.

“Heart Can Still Somersault,” his latest EP released under Ghostly International’s Spectral Sound imprint was supported by a series of global DJ appearances in cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Madrid, Beijing, Shanghai, and capped off with a sold-out live debut at London’s iconic Fabric.
