Gold Panda comes to Scotland this February for two early DJ sets at Free Time – Sneaky Pete’s day party series in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Emerging in the late ’00s with a series of raved-about remixes for Bloc Party, HEALTH and The Field, Gold Panda (Derwin Dicker) broke through in 2010 with his award-winning and zeitgeist-defining debut record, Lucky Shiner.
Now after a string of critically-acclaimed follow-up records, a celebrated DJ-Kicks mix and collaborations with Fort Romeau, Simian Mobile Disco’s Jas Shaw and Anoushka Shankar, Gold Panda returns in 2026 with TON UP, his brilliant new album for Studio Barnhus.
Made with Dicker’s unmistakable sampler-bashing touch, the tracks on TON UP carry the raw knock of old-school hip-hop instrumentals, pushed through pumping house-music machinery and ready to cause absolute trouble on any sound system.
