Champion Trees play Sneaky Pete’s on the 28th August 2026, support from Kaspar Hauser and the Gordon McGruer Quartet

In 2025, Champion Trees released A Duck’s Water Off My Back, a lush record full of gorgeous woodwind, string arrangements and immersive lyricism. Champion Trees highlight the value of carefully crafted songwriting, blending soft melancholy and relatable humour with rich, evolving instrumentation.

Joining Champion Trees on this tour is Kaspar Hauser, a South London Indie Folk/Champer Pop outfit whose most recent album The Pink Parade, tells stories of love, mental health and nature.

Finally on the bill is The Gordon McGruer Quartet. The Gordon McGruer Quartet is fronted by Gordon McGruer. Based in Edinburgh, he approaches the stage with his “earnest singing, and his unwavering confidence on the guitar” to sing folk songs about drunk magicians, truckloads of bees and birds making love. Gordon’s recent explorations include a suite of songs arranged for the pedal steel, which he will debut at this gig.
