Continuously, the Newcastle band remain loyal to their roots sonically nodding towards regional titans Nadine Shah and The Futureheads. With the “ENGLISH ACCENT god damn it” reminder on PJ Harvey’s ‘Uh Huh Her’ in mind, Jackie Purver stays true to her accent.

MANTLE PART ONE – LOEFAH & FEENA

we launch with one of the pioneers of dubstep, Loefah.

Founder and co-founder of pivotal labels Swamp 81 and DMZ respectively, and with releases on Deep Media Music and Teklife, Loefah has forged a path for innovative UK dance music over the last twenty years. And he’s coming to our 100 capacity venue, Sneaky Pete’s.

Although Loefah is known for his deep, minimal productions and dubstep origins, his influences and style range from Chicago house to true hardcore, and his sets evoke this versatility.

Resident and mantle founder Feena will be joining to warm up the place, having taken Miss World to a decade at the beginning of the year. Behind the booth, Feena’s style is influenced by low-end frequencies and sound system music, crafting webs of futuristic dub and glitched out UK techno alongside gut-punching, hard-driving genre-bending selections.

Oslo Twins are a genre-blending musical duo known for their dreamy, ethereal sound that merges elements of trip-hop, electronic, and 80s-inspired pop. Based in Bristol, UK, the pair have gained recognition for crafting atmospheric tracks that feel both cinematic and intimate. Their music often features lush, layered instrumentals paired with emotive vocals, creating a sound that is simultaneously nostalgic and forward-thinking?

The duo first gained attention during the lockdown era, developing a collaborative process of sharing and refining ideas remotely. Their DIY beginnings have informed their creative approach, with traces of initial demos often remaining in final tracks, adding a raw and personal touch to their polished productions?

Oslo Twins cite a broad range of influences, from the haunting tones of 80s new wave bands like Orange Juice and Aztec Camera to the introspective electronica of Sharon Van Etten. Their sonic palette also draws from Scandinavian pop’s dreamy aesthetics and industrial music’s experimental edge?

The bands first Edinburgh headline as part of their debut scottish “New Age” tour promises to be a night full of excellent music. With lots of new music and a brand new lineup Jutebox are eager to get back playing to the masses and where better than Sneaky Pete’s. With some top local up and coming talent on support with Echo Hotel Collective and North Orbital it will be a fantastic night of bands.

For our first edition we are thrilled to bring Petal Supply a Canadian songwriter, vocalist, and producer from Victoria, BC to the city of Edinburgh. Importing Petal Supply’s whose distinct style glues together elements of trance, hardstyle, and breakcore with bouncy, elastic sound design in a cute, high-pitched pop context.

After only a handful of releases, the “909 Worldwide” member rapidly built momentum in the experimental pop scene, collaborating as both a producer and vocalist with artists such as Umru, Himera, Laura Les and Rebecca Black.

On support we have local imports Buckfast Barbie from Minnesota, USA and Sweet Philly from Dublin, Ireland. Combining their musical knowledge and usbs these two will be warming up the room with selections of hyper pop, glitch core, jersey club and more.
