After a 7 year break The Future Capital return to the stage for a night at Sneaky Pete’s on 24th March 2024 with support from some close friends.

The club from the extraordinary funk and boogie reissue label of the same name.

Edinburgh’s wildly popular Athens of the North label goes real world at Edinburgh’s favourite sweat-box, Sneaky Pete’s, Lel Palphrey & Label Boss Euan Fryer drop bangers from their record collections all night. Deep disco, rare Brazilian, 80’s boogie, and a sprinkle of house music.

The Azurescens (Ahh-Zoo-Ray-Sins) are a four piece indie/rock band Livingston, West Lothian Scotland. The band formed in late 2020 and immediately started rehearsing and fine tuning a collection of original songs. Band members are Gaz (Rhythm guitar/Vocal) Andy ( Lead guitar/Vocal) Brian (Bass/Vocal) and Knoxy (Drums) joined in June 2023 replacing original drummer Jai who left previously after recording the bands 1st two releases. The band have a varied array of different influences ranging from Oasis /Ocean Colour Scene /Pink Floyd and Heavy rock. The variety of these can be heard in the bands own songs which have been going down a storm at the limited gigs they’ve done so far. Their debut single Middle of Nowhere was released on 4/11/22 and has been earning rave reviews online and numerous plays on local and national radio. The Azurescens are already in the studio recording a follow up single. Plenty more to come from The Azurescens.

The Capollos are a young, exciting, award winning alternative rock band from Aberdeen. Live, The Capollos are a ferocious force, combining melody, energy, swagger and a coolness that borders on effortless. These many qualities have led to comparisons with some of the bands that have influenced them such as The Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Britpop legends Oasis. Their burgeoning fan-base has grown through several high-profile support slots with the likes of Cast, The Pigeon Detectives, Kyle Falconer, The Snuts, Neon Waltz, Alan McGee, Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays), The Sherlocks, Chris Helme (The Seahorses), Mike Joyce (The Smiths) and they also performed a special acoustic set at an Elton Johns VIP party at Aberdeen’s Exhibition Centre. Further recognition and accolades are expected with the recent release of their eponymous E.P. The Capollos, which was described by Sound Wave Review as having ‘…thoughtful lyrics, groove & contagious melodies…’.
