The boundary-pushing NTS host Raji Rags joins us for a one-off special DRIFT event celebrating 5 five extraordinary years of musical exploration into the periphery. Famed for his extensive knowledge across a huge range of musical genres, fans of his residency are more than familiar with his ability to consistently select hidden gems from a huge array of styles and you’ll often hear him drawing from jazz, soul, hip-hop, leftfield techno, jungle and beyond in a single show.
Raj’s commitment to the scene extends far beyond his radio work and few can match his lifetime of contribution to music and nightlife. He co-runs the world-renowned London hip-hop collective Livin’ Proof (bringing artists such ASAP Rocky and Danny Brown to the UK), manages the label OTIH Records (recently releasing work from the seminal Jazz outfit Speakers Corner Quartet) and has continually pushed things forward from behind the scenes during his time with Bleep, R&S, Create Define Release and Boiler Room over the course of his illustrious career. Truly a legend of UK underground music, we can’t wait to welcome him to Sneaks for a genre-traversing midweek celebration fitting for five years of DRIFT!
