NOISE are a 4 piece indie/alternative rock band from Glasgow. Having released their first single in January 2020, they are now a familiar face on the Glasgow music scene, having sold out King Tuts during the 2022 Summer Sessions and opened the Tenement Trail at St. Lukes shortly after. 2023 will be a defining year for NOISE who are releasing their debut E.P in the summer. Most recently NOISE supported The K’s at a sold out show in St Luke’s and have celebrated the release of their newest single ‘One Year’. Blvck Hippie
Feels Like Pluto
for fans of… The Strokes, Blood Orange, Car Seat Headrest, Kid Cudi
June 15th, 2023
Blvck Hippie is an Indie Rock Band from Memphis, TN tryna show Black kids they can be weird too.
Blvck Hippie makes VHS-inspired music for anyone who’s ever felt like an outsider. By melding an emo sensibility with an indie rock aesthetic Blvck Hippie creates tunes for getting unstuck, existing weirdly, and finding togetherness. Raw vocals pair with sticky guitar riffs, heart-wrenching lyrics, and heavy breakdowns to create a live show for all of us raging inside. With their firmly indie attitude, refusal to accept the status quo, and knack for pushing musical boundaries, Blvck Hippie has turned being an outsider into their superpower.
Blvck Hippie released their debut LP, If You Feel Alone At Parties in Fall 2021. Since then they’ve been touring across the US carving out a place for themselves on festival stages, at basement shows, and everywhere in between. Jasmine Albertson (KEXP) perfectly captures the must-experience nature of a Blvck Hippie show: “While their recorded material is fantastic, seeing the Memphis-based band live is an even more remarkable experience. The pure joy that emanates from every member of the primarily POC band is infectious and an absolute gift, especially considering the pain and hardships that inspired these songs.” In searching for a place to belong, Blvck Hippie is bringing us all along.

Hotel Lux
Casual Drag
The Runaway Models
for fans of…Art Brut, The Wave Pictures, Yard Act and Parklife-era Blur
June 14th, 2023
Hotel Lux — completed by acerbic lead vocalist Lewis Duffin, guitarist Sam Coburn, drummer Craig MacVicar, and new members Max Oliver (guitar) and Dillon Home (organ; violin) — found themselves on the path to major success in 2020 around the release of the Barstool Preaching EP. Iggy Pop was singing their praises on the radio. The band decamped to TheWirral, nearLiverpool, where they found further inspiration in the marina, the local Morrisons and a producer and kindred spirit in BillRyder-Jones (TheCoral; ArcticMonkeys; YardAct)— who also contributed piano to the record. It was here that the band’s multi-faceted influences,£20 Casio keyboards and experimentation with omnichords, violins and marauding song structures finally fell into place. With rich emotional peaks matching the band’s signature self-effacing wit, and as many jangling guitars as there are squiggling organ hooks, the results have proven emphatic.
Lead single ‘Common Sense’ was influenced by ‘80s pop-rock group the Beautiful South, says Lewis. It was “are action against what was expected of us” that like wise recycles familiar themes of apathy and media criticism—previously touched upon in ‘TabloidNewspaper’. Inspired by the RMT strikes and trade union leader Mick Lynch, as well as the media’s treatment of Jeremy Corbyn, it’s an intricate and rhythmic and them full of funk bass, machine gun snares and clattering guitars reminiscent of Television or Glasgow indie icons Orange Juice. It’s undoubtedly the band’s most euphoric and danceable single to date
