Miss World:
Reo
Up next at the Miss World musical beauty pageant – Reo.
We were first introduced to Reo through KYSO Sound’s night at Venue MOT – and as soon as we heard her seamlessly mixing jungle on vinyl at 5am we new we had to get her up to play in Edinburgh.
Reo was introduced to UK dance music from a young age, hearing her mum play garage alongside an array of other genres and musical inspirations in her home. Reo’s love of jungle coming from experiences like carnival and growing up listening to jazz drumming, noticing the crossover between genres.
She’s already going from strength to strength, and it’s clear to see why. Having guested on shows on Rinse FM and Reprezent, while playing in clubs alongside the likes of Bakey, Dubrunner, Kessler, Otik and Mixtress, trust us when we say she’s one to watch.
Please respect your fellow dancers – all are welcome at Miss World. We operate a safe space policy, and a zero tolerance policy towards homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism, creepiness, or just being a downright shitebag in general. Anyone found to be being a shitebag in any of the above ways will be immediately removed from the premises. Respect your fellow dancers, don’t assume people’s pronouns and keep your hands to yourself (unless you’re given obvious and explicit permission of course)! You can ALWAYS approach Miss World DJs (we’re normally next to the booth) or venue staff if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe. If you have had too much to drink, lost your pals or just want to be around safe people, come and find us to hang out or we can help get you a taxi home. Our bathrooms are gender neutral the night of our event so please respect each other in choosing what feels comfortable.
Sneaky Pete’s is accessible, however there are no accessible toilets – patrons are welcome to use accessible toilets at the Three Sisters just along the Cowgate. Please get in touch with us or Sneaky Pete’s if you have any questions about accessibility in advance of the event.
