Baron Salmon + RAAB
Baron Salmon is a 24 year old songwriter in East Lothian, known for skilled guitar work, a flair for lyricism that straddles the line between the intensely personal and the impossibly vague. His musical style sits between the folk stylings of Sufjan Stevens and the brutally honest lyricism of Frightened Rabbit. After two home recorded EPs Baron Salmon caught the ear of Idlewild’s Rod Jones and the pair teamed up with a full band to make “Muppets and Marionettes”.
Returning to the stage solo to perform at Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s from upcoming EP “Paper Moons” Baron Salmon will be supported by singer songwriter RAAB. RAAB captivates her listeners with her alluring, decorative, yet strong vocals, combining her love of rock, blues, folk, and country music. The excellent band backing RAAB enhance the songs through 4-part harmonies and provide a fuller sound for the catchy original songs.
