JORDAN. w. Kilokane & Justboy
Echo Division & Sneaky Pete’s presents:
JORDAN. with support from Kilokane & Justboy
For the first time in over 2 years, Kirkcaldy based singer/songwriter and producer, JORDAN. returns to the stage with a very special event. Comprising of a Setlist containing all brand new music from his upcoming debut album and with a few fan favourites thrown in for good measure, with songs such as “Anything Can Happen” and “In The Morning”.
After gaining exposure and praise through outlets such as Amazing Radio, various blogs and interviews, JORDAN. is back to showcase exactly what he’s been tinkering away with behind the closed doors of lockdown whilst also navigating new parenthood. Expect thumping club anthems, ambient soundscapes and heartbreaking ballads that help capture an idea of the signature blend of styles and genres JORDAN. is slowly mastering.
For fans of : James Blake, Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Bon Iver, Francis & The Lights…
Providing supporting slots for the evening are 2 other solo acts: Kilokane & Justboy
Justboy is the solo project from Inverness singer-songwriter Dale Sutherland. Dale is known for fronting the raging Alt Rock duo Alkanes, but since 2018 he has been rafting a more intimate and fragile form of songwriting which has grown into the Justboy material.
Inspired by indie-folk luminaries such as City and Colour, Bon Iver, Hozier and Phoebe Bridgers, Justboy’s often soulful vocal passages and atmospheric songwriting captures the vulnerability of his lyrics in visceral fashion.
Kilokane is a post 70-80s style of rock in the mix with a bit of Brit pop on the side. His influence come a lot from acts such as The Smiths, Joy Division & The Smiths as well as contemporaries in the field of todays bedroom indie scene.
As an individual, Kilokane sees music as a enabler for expression in the current age. Referring to life in songs he also harbours feelings of helplessness and dissolution which can be experienced for others, coating the canvas with vibrant colours but yet thick shadows.
