DROPKICK and ATTIC LIGHTS, Beckett
An evening of some top jangling Scottish pop tunes! Dropkick and Attic Lights first toured Scotland together in 2006 and are recreating the fun and chaos with a mini tour together, finishing in Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s.
Dropkick take their musical cues from wilco, the jayhawks, the byrds and tom petty, amongst others. Their most recent album “Homeward” (their 12th) which was released in April 2014 on Taylored Records and Bobo Integral in Spain. The band also re-recorded a collection of songs from between 2001-2008 for a retrospective, ‘Good Vibes: The Dropkick Songbook Vol.1’, released by Rock Indiana Records in October 2014.
Attic Lights formed in an attic in Springburn, Glasgow by Kev and Colin in 2005, they were soon joined by Jamie, Tim and Noel. Amongst their inspirations they cite Weezer, The Beach Boys, Flaming Lips, R.E.M. and Paul McCartney. In May 2013 Attic Lights release their new album, Super De Luxe on Elefant Records.
Beckett formed in East Lothian in 2013 recently released their self titled EP.
