“An Exciting talent with a fine voice that comes across well in his strong and emotive songs.” Classic Rock Society
“What makes him stand out is powerful and strong vocals that growl and whisper in all the right places, and an air of confidence to his music that suggests he probably doesn’t waste all his time feeling sorry for himself like the rest of those pesky acoustic guitar playing singer songwriters.” (QM Union, CD Review)
“His Glaswegian growl of a speaking voice completely transformed into a powerful instrument.” BBC Radio
“The overall standard of songwriting puts Michael Hargan right up there with the nation’s favorites.” Rock N Roll Lies
“Overall this is a well put together package and if you appreciate good singer/songwriters like David Gray and Damien Rice, this is a CD you’d want in your collection.” Scot-Rock (8 out of 10)
“With more ferocity than Rice, Hargan’s rich and warm vocals often lend themselves to comparisons with Tom McRae, but although he sings with soul and emotion in his voice, he thankfully never sounds quite as miserable as McRae.” (Live review, Fiona MacKinley)
“There is quite a beautiful warm and very intimate sound to this album, with some beautiful string arrangements.” Road Records Dublin
“Falling Out Of You is stunning and on a par with Gray or Damien Rice, An Album both passionate and uplifting.” RIK FULTON-DAILY RECORD
“A true genius in the art of Songwriting, excellent vocals full of passion.” Music Reveiw (www.musicreview.com)
