MATTHEW DEAR live
(full four piece band)
+ Brothers Grimm
December 5th, 2010
In the span of a few years, Texas-born, New York-based Matthew Dear has established himself as one of America’s foremost underground dance producers, his output is considered to be at creative peak of minimal techno.
He has been known under the aliases Audion, False, and Jabberjaw; and has recorded for Richie Hawtin and FABRIClive amongst others.
Since his astounding first full-length Asa Breed, he has moved in more diverse directions, veering into towards full songwriting, and pulling the elastic of techno until it encompasses a wild variety of styles. New album Black City is the culmination of those efforts.
His full band live show promises to be an extraordinary presentation.

TANGO IN THE ATTIC
+ Boycotts
+ Pose Victorious
December 4th, 2010
‘They’re young, they’re fresh, they get sweaty on stage, and they make an ace noise!” – Vic Galloway, BBC Radio 1
After setting the festival circuit on fire with their energetic live show and topping Amazon’s indie download chart with their debut album, Tango in the Attic are back with their second single, Sketch by Quentin Blake.
…
Exploding onto the scene in 2009, this five-piece band from Glenrothes have steadily cemented their reputation as one of Scotland’s most captivating live and recorded acts, with a fun tropical sound fused with melodic guitars and vocals
“…Impossibly catchy garage pop…”
– NYLON Magazine
“Josef K, David Dunsmuir and Graham Young provide the exciting playground of music for highly accomplished and irrepressible firecracker Stina Twee’s lead vocals. This Glasgow band is sure to enthral and delight you – with the odd cheeky slap to keep you interested. Introducing – Boycotts” The List – Drew Spencer
Boycotts played their first gig in Glasgow in the summer of 2008. By the end of the summer they had recorded their first demo, played a number of Scottish dates and been voted runners up Artist of The Month @ King Tuts “Your Sound” event. Since then the band has played a live session on Vic Galloway’s Radio 1 show, opened Stag and Dagger Festival and supported acts such as Cage The Elephant, Art Brut, Cursive and Local Natives. Last summer the band recorded their debut E.P @ Chem19 with veteran producer Andy Miller. The E.P was released on August 15th 2009 through What If Music & Sony ATV. 2010 will see a number of Scottish tours and the release, towards the end of the year, of the band’s debut single. realeditorbest profile toolsrealeditorbest profile tools
The current line-up of Ross Millar, Jack Rowberry, Gavin White, Gordon Barclay and Jordan Laird formed in early 2009. Since March 2009 a whirlwind of gigs and recording sessions have seen Pose Victorious rapidly ascend the ranks of the Scottish new music scene supporting the likes of Tango In The Attic, Sergeant and The Paddingtons as well as receiving airplay from Jim Gellatly (New Scottish Music Show) and Gill Mills (NME Radio). The bands first rough demo landed them a manager as well as bringing them to the attention of indie super producer Owen Morris (The View, Oasis, The Verve, Ash) who quickly took them under his wing. The band have spent the last six months working closely with Owen to produce their first 3 track EP, which was released on the 25th of February 2010.
