The band have been described as the sound of the Skins / Inbetweeners generation (as well as a cross between the early Arctic Monkeys and The Proclaimers!) because they throw up all the same thoughts and feelings that these shows purvey and mirror the lives of most of today’s youth. Indie Pop with a Scottish flavour an instant appeal.

Octophant (AKA LAZER ENEMA) creates music that draws from IDM, Jungle, Techno, ambient and a whole host of other styles. In his live show he blends electronics with live instrumentation in a manner that is reminiscent of SQUARPUSHER (IE: totally bonkers!). His debut album 4 D4 BRA!NZ N T1NG was released last year on GHOST GROOVE RECORDS and since then he has played at a number of GHOST GROOVE events as well as other Edinburgh nights like NU FIRE. If your up for some brainmelting live music this is not a show to miss.

Spaceface are the latest addition to the Edinburgh music scene. After a year of writing the band have created unique music that stands on its own. With heavy influences from post-rock and intrumental bands such as Mogwai and This Will Destroy You, the music becomes an explosive wall of sound not commonly heard in alternative indie bands.

Currently recording their debut album to be released later this year, The Jackals play quality live music with attitude & conviction that can only be translated on view. With influences drawn from 60s psychedelia to modern day mind benders

Hailing from Renfrewshire, ThousandSounds are a sonic mash up of Widescreen guitars, Dreampop, 1960′s Psychedelia, Shoegaze and British Rock n Roll.

Communion is the touring showcase born in the Summer of 2006 at London’s Notting Hill Arts Club. Founded by Ben Lovett (Mumford and Sons), former Cherbourg bassist Kevin Jones, and acclaimed producer Ian Grimble, it quickly grew into a flourishing community of musicians and fans alike, providing a first independent platform for the freshest young artists on London’s circuit and beyond. It comes to Edinburgh once a month.

PANDA SU could be described as something of an enigma. Half Portuguese, born in the rural Highlands of Scotland and having spent her formative years deep in the forests of Fife.

One of life’s interlopers, her music stands on the edge of reason, where Su looks into the precipice with a wry smile and a nervous anticipation that is mirrored in her lyrics. Darkly fascinating, she weaves her spell with a recipe of childlike simplicity that is nothing less than compelling.

Awarded “Best Newcomer” in the 2010 Jockrock Scottish Music Industry Awards, PANDA SU has gained a worldwide following, through her constant touring & festival appearances. The inclusion of her song Eric is Dead in the Finale of Skins Season 4 has taken PANDA SU’s appeal to a far greater audience.

Her new EP, I Begin is a collection of recordings made with producer Robin Sutherland in Dundee over Christmas 2010. Yet again, PANDA SU has managed to pull off a delicious slice of dark pop devised to disarm the listeners’ subconscious.

Hailing from Dundee in Scotland, Make Sparks – Craig Parker (Guitar & Vocals), Bobby Garland (Bass & Vocals), and Adam Parker (Drums & Vocals) – have been making music together since their early teens. Writing sick notes for school for each other Craig, Bobby and Adam would take days off and sneak back home to practise all day long. The ultimate outcome is a hook laden indie rock pop band. Make Sparks.

‘’ Well crafted pop songs performed with true belief and enthusiasm; a result of the years of dedication invested in their craft.’’ – The List

Having toured extensively thought Scotland, notching up supports with the likes of Feeder, Attack Attack, and Sucioperro, playing festivals such as T in The Park, Wickerman, Wizard, and Oxjam over the last 2 years the band have aquired a very strong and varied fan base. After taking time out to write new material, the band returned in September 2011 with a UK tour and single ‘Your Heart’s on Fire’

”Your Heart is on Fire by Make Sparks may well be the catchiest song ever written by any man, or woman, anywhere ever. Even catchier than Jump by Van Halen, there, i said it.” – Ally McCrae, BBC Introducing/Scotland

Make Sparks release their new single ‘Floored’ on the 12th December along with their Xmas tour.

From the heart of the Scottish ‘new’ town of Cumbernauld hails what could be one of the UK’s most disenfranchised and socially outspoken bands. Cumbernauld, recently voted the worst place to live in UK, twice winning the prestigious Carbuncle Award, is a town with its own Eco system, mentality, religious divides, gang violence and poverty. The overspill of Glasgow, the town takes the city’s heart …& bile.

It’s no wonder then that ‘How Much Rug? How Much Carpet?’ reflects singer, songwriter, guitarist and keyboard player Tom McCreery’s unashamedly blunt view on society, life, and all that goes with being British today. Oswald are all about today’s society, life and people.
