Jules & the Blue Garnets with Martha L. Healy
Original folk/pop music that is ‘Fresh, clear…no saccharine. A bit like apple cider vinegar…tingly’
It has been a busy few months for Jules and the Blue Garnets including the release of their second EP, In the Early Hours, and a special live session for BBC Radio Scotland. On March the 31st, they are hosting a night of live music at their favourite Edinburgh Venue, Sneaky Pete’s. Their set will include tracks from the new EP, as well as some of the back catalogue.
Their sound has been described as ‘canned Summer’, ‘perfection’ and ‘stunningly beautiful’. When supporting Runrig, fans were told to expect ‘a beautiful voice and catchy songs’.
BBC Radio 4 host, and New York Anti-Folk creator, Lach, expressed ‘Jules and the Blue Garnets achieve a glittering smooth pop sound through confident melody and an enchanting songwriting style. An endearingly engaging band both live and on record. Highly recommended’.
BBC Radio Scotland’s Bryan Burnett wrote ‘JATBG’s live session was one of the highlights of BBC Radio Scotland Music Extra for me. It’s an infectious sound that we all fell in love with. They produce a bang on combination of pop harmonies and acoustic driven music’. Listen to the session here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04hj5m5
The night will also feature music from country/Americana singer/songwriter, Martha L. Healy, who was praised by Billy Block for having a ‘passionate voice that rings true and clear.’
